The Winston School’s Activity Program
Winston’s students have many abilities and interests to discover and develop, including those that reach beyond their academic experience. The Winston School’s activity program gives students opportunities to explore their interests through clubs and extracurricular activities.
Program goals include:
- Providing additional motivation within the regular program
- Planting the seeds of future hobbies or academic or professional interests;
- Making the experience of schooling more fun, positive and relaxing;
- Enhancing social skills
- Building community across age groups and between students and staff members
All middle and high school students are expected to participate in activities and students are graded on a pass-fail basis for effort and participation. Elementary school students have a modified activity program that is developed as the year progresses.
