Academy Award winning filmmakers Alan and Susan Raymond examine the complexities of this differently structured brain and debunk the myths and misperceptions about dyslexia.

There will be a panel discussion with professionals in the field of education following the film.

We would like to invite you to attend a College Information Night. This will be a general introduction to the college application process for the parents of our juniors. The information covered will include:

  • Finding your place in the process as parents
  • Graduation requirements and college acceptance requirements
  • The difference between the UC, CSU and Community College system in California
  • Private versus public colleges
  • Differences between college and high school support services
  • SATs and ACTs
  • Timelines in the college application process

The meeting is especially pertinent to families of juniors, but families of sophomores are welcome to attend.

Picnic in the Quad

OUTDOOR CONCERT

The Winston School will continue its 25th Anniversary celebrations with outdoor band performances. Playing will be the middle and high school bands and the “American Fly Boys,” a new organization made up of professional, semi-professional and amateur musicians, featuring Del Martian Brett Castile, Bob Ferris, Bob Tutelman, and others. Winston families and neighboring Del Martians are encouraged to bring a picnic and beach chair and enjoy this new venue! Winston students will be
holding a bake sale, as well – everything will be $1.00!
