2011-2012 Parent Group

The Winston Parent Group works to enrich the learning and social experience of all our students by helping with many events and outings, and supporting our amazing staff of dedicated teachers. We feel there’s nothing more valuable than our children’s education — and nothing more rewarding than the privilege of helping enhance it.

We’ll be meeting at 8:30 am the first week of every month, right here on campus. We’ll decide which day is best for most through the survey, below. Please respond, and we’ll contact you with the year’s schedule in September 2011.

Something new this year: We’re hoping to provide a venue for parents to connect through informal coffees, organized around parenting and education discussion topics. Watch for more details through our monthly email updates.

There are lots of ways to be involved in Parent Group, from front-and-center, to behind-the-scenes. Some things we are involved in:

• Grandparents/Family Thanksgiving Luncheon on campus
• Student Outings
• Movie Nights
• Staff Appreciation Luncheon and events
• The Del Mar Winter Festival
• Winston Coffeehouses, where students perform
• Winston Springtime Festival of the Arts
• Simple, painless, effective E-Scrip fundraising.
